Structural/General Steel Fabrication
MG Engineering offers a wide range of structural/general fabrication services for industries such as mining, defence, commercial and industrial. Having large workshops at our disposal, MG is capable of supplying large volumes of fabricated steel work to site as well as having the capability of installing onsite. With our site having water frontage, it also enables us access for offshore fabrication and shipment of extreme oversize loads.
All our staff have previous experience on site and undergo frequent medical examinations. MG ensures all staff adhere to the Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare. We also employ a designated Occupational Health and Safety supervisor for site work.
Plate Fabrication
MG Engineering has the capability and capacity to take on large steel plate projects. We have worked with various grades of plates including mild steel, bisalloy, hardox materials and stainless steel from 4mm to 80mm in thickness.
Plate Forming Division
Cold rolling or Rollbending of steel or alloy material is recognized world wide as the most economical process to produce curves or bends in sectional or plate material that can be used from a simple sign post, right to a bridge girder or structural roof beam. MG enjoys the benefit of employing a dedicated team of highly skilled and experienced operators, that look forward to a challenge and ensure the highest quality of workmanship.
Ship Building & Repairs
MG offer a complete ship/boat building service, as well as a complete refit/fitout service to all areas of the commercial shipping and fishing industries. MG Engineering have completed vessels for prawn trawling, tugs, floating barges and work platforms.
Recent projects include delivery of three River Murray Ferries to replace existing Ferries operated by the department of transport (SA) for crossing the River Murray.
Project Management
MG Engineering manages projects for highly complex steel construction, from initial design stages through to the commissioning stages. MG's project team has a strong emphasis on communicating project progress to it's clients as well as ensuring all employees and sub-contractors are working to the highest quality within safety standards.
